lambing open days

For the second year we’ll be opening the farm for a week of lambing season in 2011.

Easter is late in 2011, so we’ve been trying to arrange the  week so that the lambing is not too late from a sheep farming point of view, but still during the school holidays

We’ll be in the thick of lambing, with the barns full of expectant ewes and those who have already had their lambs. There will be lots of information, a guided talk when time allows, and a little bit of bottle feeding along the way. And of course we hope that you’ll have the chance to see a lamb born. More information can be found on the lambing open days page

We’re opening at  11 am until  4 pm  From Saturday 7th to Monday 9th of April.

Please wear outdoor footwear.

Admission £4 for Adults, £2.00 for Children over 4.

IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR PREGNANT WOMEN

There is a small chance of infection carried by pregnant sheep being transferred to pregnant women. Although the risk is very low, medical advice is that pregnant women should not have contact with sheep during the lambing season

If you expecting a baby, please do not visit our lambing open day.
